Sticking to the Beat: Life Behind the Drumkit #3

Entry 3 – Thursday 7th December

We went to the Cluny after a productive session getting stressed behind the drum kit again. These primitive stages are really hard as there is not much that can be done without at least some drums recorded as a foundation for the guys to build on. After being severely critiqued by El Santo for a couple of hours, we managed to get the drums down for Sundown (or temporal, one of the two). As a reward for our efforts, we went for a pint at the Cluny. Whilst we were there, there was a lady who kept letting her dog completely tear apart a plant from the establishment. If I was the landlord I’d have fucked her off. I love animals but come on if they’re taking the piss you should stop them.

Anyway, the dog took a liking to the Goth (another, long long story) who was sat with us. She told us that she was her support dog and is very needy. And was extremely thankful for us just keeping watch of her for a few minutes whilst she had a cigarette outside.

When she came back in, she said we look like a right cool bunch and asked if she could take some photos of us. I took the opportunity to mention we were in a band and her eyes lit up. She did take a particular liking to me and said I look cool as fuck. Easy when you’re in a bunch of people that exclusively wear black. She took a liking to the Goth too, which is a bit awkward as the goth isn’t in the band in the first place. Alex will have to go through an express sex change in time for next week when we’ve agreed to meet her.

Until next time malakes,

Veganski
