We’d love to visit everywhere with Phase—every city holds its own story, its own struggles, and triumphs. But if I had to name a few, Tehran, Jerusalem, St. Petersburg and Lviv stand out, however, this is only a non-exhaustive list of cities that embody the human condition in all its complexity, hosting profound histories and difficult relationships that continue to shape the world.
Places like these, with so much depth, challenge, and emotion, are endlessly fascinating. We’ve always been drawn to such places. Back in 2011, we visited Damascus, weeks before the war broke out. It was an unforgettable moment—standing in a city so rich with life and history, unaware of the devastation that was about to unfold. That experience shaped our perspective and reinforced our desire to explore and connect with places that tell humanity’s most powerful stories.
In fact, we had offers for Russia and Ukraine before the pandemic, and indeed before the war started and we would love to visit once that would be practicable. One can reasonably infer that the above sentiment reflects a deep interest in exploring the layers of humanity, history, and culture that shape places with complex dynamics but we would be more than happy to visit as many places and meet and get to know as many people and their stories, so please let us know where we should visit next by following the link below:
